About Us

Our programs serve children ages 2 to 12 including full time, part time, before and after school age enrichment programs as well as private Kindergarten.  Our children come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and we welcome children of all races, nationalities, and religious faiths.  Our parents' involvement, participation, and collaboration are critical to a child's learning experience.  There are numerous ways for parents to be involved in our programs and to support the work that we do with the children.  Each center has a parent council and there are many ways for parents to volunteer.

Our curriculum is inspired by the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education.  Our program is aligned with the developmental guidelines set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.  Our approach is based on the image of the child as competent, strong, inventive, and full of ideas.

We provide opportunities for learning, exploration, creativity and self-expression based on the idea that children have the interest and potential to construct their knowledge and establish relationships.  We provide instruction the areas of Math, Science, Literacy, and the Arts.

Our staff work in an environment where teachers and children are respected and valued, where collaboration and thinking are visible through the actions taken, and where we are challenged to a deeper self-reflection of ourselves and our work with the children.  Teachers have University level classes in Early Childhood Development and participate in continuous professional development through seminars, college classes, in-service workshops and conferences.  La Bella Learning Center teachers are committed to providing the highest quality early childhood education experience for young children and their families.
